Families with students in grades 4K-2 were invited to join KUSD Chef Kyle Rudin as he led them through a fun gingerbread house-making workshop following a storytime read-aloud by EBSOLA principal Barbara Sanchez. As a bonus, families also received a book for their home library to read together and got to take home their creations, chef hats and aprons.
This program was a part of KUSD’s Family Education Programs led by the Community School Relations team, who partners with KUSD staff and community partners to implement interactive family learning experiences that relate to curriculum, safety, and strengthening family communication and school connections.
