Why Teach with KUSD?
Educators new to the profession or district receive multi-levels of support when they join the KUSD family:
- Opportunity to join introduction to KUSD Curriculum workshops in the summer
- Four day New Educator Orientation covering topics such as: curriculum, technology/software availability, student information system, evaluations, and many other informational sessions
- Building Liaisons to support new staff in each building
- Immediate access to Professional Development Workshops and Courses both in-person or asynchronous
In addition, those with less than three years’ experience are provided the following:
- A trained mentor
- Ongoing Support Cohorts held multiple times throughout the year with role-alike colleagues and a trained cohort leader
