Program affords families no-cost meals
We are pleased to inform you that we will be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) while participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2024-25 school year.
What does this mean for you and your children?
All KUSD students are eligible to receive a healthy school breakfast and lunch at no charge. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application. Please remember that if a student takes milk only, there is a charge as this is considered an a la carte item.
*The district may still request applications from households with a student participating in the CEP; however, receipt of free breakfast and lunch meals does not depend on forms being returned. Completing the application is still necessary for other programs like Title 1, athletics, fine arts, Wisconsin School Day Milk (pre-k/kindergarten snack milk) and scholarships and may be used to determine if your household is eligible for these additional benefits.
We Serve Food for Thought Everyday
Daydreaming kids? Is your student’s head in the clouds in the morning? What’s missing here? Students who miss breakfast have a harder time focusing in class and tend to perform worse on standardized tests than students who eat a healthy breakfast each morning.
Find out how your student can enjoy a healthy breakfast at school every morning!
Our food service department provides food for nearly 19,000 students in 31 schools every day! Take a look at your school’s menu. Learn more about your student’s lunch account.
