Food Service
We Serve Food for Thought Everyday
Daydreaming kids? Is your student’s head in the clouds in the morning? What’s missing here? Students who miss breakfast have a harder time focusing in class and tend to perform worse on standardized tests than students who eat a healthy breakfast each morning.
Find out how your student can enjoy a healthy breakfast at school every morning!
Our food service department provides food for nearly 19,000 students in 31 schools every day! Take a look at your school’s menu. Learn more about your student’s lunch account.
Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
We are pleased to inform you that Kenosha Unified School District will be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) while participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2026-27 school year.
What does this mean for you and your children attending the schools identified below?
Great news! All enrolled students of Bose, Brass, Bullen, Chavez, Frank, Grant, Grewenow, Hillcrest, KSOL, Reuther, Roosevelt, Southport, Strange and Washington are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2026-27 school year. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.
* The district will still be requesting applications from households with a student participating in the CEP; however, receipt of free breakfast and lunch meals does not depend on returning it. Completing the application is still necessary for other programs like Title 1, athletics, fine arts, scholarships, and testing; and may be used to determine if your household is eligible for these additional benefits.
Summer Food Service Program
Kenosha Unified will again be hosting the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which offers nutritious meals to children in our community during the summer.
