KUSD Rightsizing Project

In May 2023, the KUSD Board of Education contracted Davis Demographics to provide a comprehensive demographic study in regards to student enrollment forecasts and related services. In addition, a citizen advisory committee was established as outlined in Board Policy 8860 with invitations sent to dozens of community representatives and organization leaders.

The Kenosha Rightsizing Committee (KRC) will review enrollment data and facility conditions as they work to develop suggestions for school closure criteria and ideas for district changes that will be shared with the Board of Education for consideration during the right sizing process. Davis will develop updated boundary scenarios for consideration by the Board of Education.

The overall goal is to provide the Board of Education with options for consideration and possible action by December 2023.
