Open Enrollment
The Wisconsin public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. The open enrollment application period for the 2025-26 school year is Feb. 3 – April 30, 2025 at 4 p.m.

Alternative Application Procedures
Parents may apply for open enrollment outside of the regular open enrollment application period under unique circumstances. An Alternative Open Enrollment application form would have to be submitted to Tonya Miller for processing at tlmiller@kusd.edu. Learn more about Alternative Open Enrollment procedures.

| May 12, 2025 | District Open Enrollment Lottery | Lottery results must be board approved before lottery results can be mailed to parents |
| May 27, 2025 | School Board Meeting | Lottery results must be board approved before lottery results can be mailed to parents |
| May 28 – 30, 2025 | Acceptance and Denial Letters are mailed USPS | |
| June 27, 2025 | Deadline for parents to notify KUSD with intent to attend | |
| July 1, 2025 | Alternative Application for open enrollment is available | This is for parents that missed the regular open enrollment application (February – April) |
