High School Summer Opportunities

Courses

  • PE Foundations – incoming 9th grade students
    • Physical Education Foundations will introduce fitness to students through many different activities, including team sports, individual sports, and organized fitness activities. Implementation of the SPARK curriculum for high school will come from Physical Education Foundations. This course must be successfully completed before entering any of the other offered physical education courses.
  • Active Lifestyles PE – incoming 10th through 12th grade students
    • Active Lifestyles class emphasizes the importance of staying fit and healthy individually. Students will be able to learn different ways to take responsibility for their fitness and health through individual lifetime sports and individual fitness opportunities. SPARK curriculum will continue with emphasis on individual fitness building lessons.
  • Lifetime Fitness PE – incoming 10th through 12th grade students
    • Lifetime Fitness class will teach students fitness and the importance of fitness through team sports and team building. Students will have the opportunity to cooperatively learn the importance of staying fit and the healthy aspects of lifetime sports. SPARK curriculum will continue with emphasis on team lessons.

  • Session 1: Monday, June 17, 2024, through, Monday, July 8, 2024 (15 days)
  • Session 2: Tuesday, July 9, 2024, through Monday, July 29, 2024 (15 days)
  • No school: Thursday, July 4, 2024, in observance of Independence Day
  • Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

Registration Process

Student enrollment in the in-person summer physical education courses will be determined by a lottery process. Only one enrollment form may be completed per student for summer physical education and one selection made for each of the following questions:

  • High school location
  • PE course
  • Session 1
    • Monday, June 17, 2024, through, Monday, July 8, 2024 (15 days)
  • Session 2
    • Tuesday, July 9, 2024, through Monday, July 29, 2024 (15 days)

The high school PE lottery enrollment begins on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 8:00 am and ends on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 8:00 am.  Again, only one lottery enrollment per student will be accepted for the PE lottery. The lottery will take place the week of April 15, 2024, and notification of enrollment or waitlist status will be sent to all enrollees by April 19, 2024.


Kenosha eSchool Physical Education Courses

Location

  • Virtual

Courses

  • Personal Fitness – incoming 9th grade students
  • Fitness Lifestyle Design – incoming 10th through 12th grade students
  • Personal Fitness II – incoming 10th through 12th grade students
  • Life Management Skills – (health course) incoming 9th through 12 grade students

Dates

  • Monday, June 17, 2024, to Monday, July 29, 2024

Registration Process

  • Kenosha eSchool PE lottery enrollment begins on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 8:00 am and ends on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 8:00 am.  Again, only one lottery enrollment per student will be accepted for the Kenosha eSchool lottery. The lottery will take place the week of April 15, 2024, and notification of enrollment or waitlist status will be sent to all enrollees by April 19, 2024.  Students do not need to be current eSchool students to take the summer PE or health courses.
