Kenosha Police Department K9 Officer Iris and Detective Deates visited Southport Elementary School today to teach students about what a K9 officer does. Iris is an electronic detection K9 trained by Jordan Detection K9 and sponsored by Operation Underground Railroad. This visit was part of Southport’s Friday “learning bursts” focused on spicing up learning and promoting exposure to community careers and talent. The school hosts a new presenter for a short burst of excitement, exposure, and fun!
