Mr. LaBuda’s fifth-grade class at Kenosha School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum has been working through the Project Lead The Way Launch Module: Matter: Properties and Reactions with Mrs. Hodges. Students have learned about states of matter as well as the properties of different substances. Everyone worked through several experiments creating mixtures and observing the law of conservation of mass. For the final problem, students designed and built a pencil container. Teams also needed to design a test that demonstrates how the pencil container is made with materials that have the required properties to meet all criteria and constraints. Everyone worked hard to come up with innovative designs!
