Early Childhood

Early Childhood Program

The Early Childhood program differs from other Early Education programs in that it provides specific support for children with special needs. The program serves children who are three and four years old that have been determined, through an IEP Team evaluation, to have an identified disability and meet the criteria to receive these services. A child must qualify to receive these services.

Early Childhood services are available in many of our elementary and childcare 4K classrooms. If you are interested in having your child evaluated to determine if they demonstrate delayed learning, please contact the Early Childhood/Speech Language Office at 262-359-7683.

Early Childhood Fees

The children/families that participate in this program are financially responsible to:

  • Purchase school supplies
  • Pay for a materials fee
  • Pay for breakfast/lunch (unless receiving free/reduced)
  • Pay for milk for snack
  • Pay for any school activities such as field trips

The only exception would be if the child/family also qualified for Head Start and then all fees would be waived.

Early Education – Speech Impact Program

The Speech Impact program strictly serves children who are three years old that have an identified speech sound production need.  Placement in this program is based on a formal evaluation and consultation with the parent.  A child must qualify to receive these services.  Speech Impact services are available at Bose Elementary School and Whittier Elementary School.  If you are interested in having your child evaluated to determine if they demonstrate delayed speech, please contact the Early Childhood/Speech Language Office at 359-7683.
