Summer Band

K-L Band (Completed Grade 5)

The K-L Band will meet Tuesday through Thursday from June 16 through July 16. Classes will be one hour in length in either the morning (9:00-10:00 AM) or afternoon (4:30-5:30 PM). The location of rehearsals will be determined before registration opens in the spring. Performances will be at a Kenosha Pops Band concert and the Band Boosters Ice Cream Social. A complete schedule of rehearsals, performances, and the optional field trip to the Lakeview RecPlex will be distributed to the students during the first week of rehearsals. Continental Band (Completed Grade 6)

Class will meet Mondays through Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. June 16 through July 16 at Mahone Middle School. Performances include the Band Booster Ice Cream Social and the Verzal Memorial Concert. A complete schedule of rehearsals, performances, and the optional trip to Six Flags will be distributed to the students during the first week of rehearsals. Rambler Band (Completed Grade 7-8)

Classes will meet Mondays in May and early June from 6-8 pm, and Tuesdays through Thursdays from 1-4 pm at Mahone Middle School from June 16 through July 13 and includes participation in a mandatory band camp June 10-13 at St. John’s Military Academy. A complete schedule of rehearsals and performances will be distributed to the students before the end of the school year. Registration will be conducted through the district’s instrumental music instructors. Band of the Black Watch (Completed Grades 9-11)

This year’s mandatory parent meeting is scheduled for April 27th at 7pm in the auditorium at Indian Trail High School and Academy. The first Blackwatch full rehearsal will be on May 4th from 6-8pm at Indian Trail High School and Academy. Membership in Blackwatch includes participation in a mandatory band camp June 11-14 at Carroll University in Waukesha. In July, the band will be traveling to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Registration will be conducted through the district’s high school instrumental music instructors. Fundraisers will begin following the conclusion of the mandatory parent meeting on April 27th.
