The fifth-grade team at EBSOLA-Creative Arts invited successful, local black entrepreneurs and professionals to show its fifth-graders that Wisconsin is full of black history-makers. Students had the opportunity to ask the guests questions, and the guests shared their insight, motivations, challenges and words of wisdom with the students. Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes also gave a speech to the students about how everyone is entitled to a shot at being successful and encouraged students to never give up on their dreams. Additional guests included law enforcement, retired military, educators, a coach, DJ, candidates for local and U.S. government, business owners, program directors and more.
