Washington mentor program

Washington Middle School’s mentor program pairs eighth-graders with sixth-graders to build positive school relationships and future leaders. They participate in activities together as “leaders” and “learners” guided by the school’s REAL culture focusing on Responsible, Encouraging, Authentic Leaders. This month, they practiced the “Encouraging” quality by making kindness rocks and the “Responsibility” quality by propagating plants. Through these activities, the mentorship instills a deeper understanding of the school’s REAL culture and builds lasting memories and relationships for everyone involved. Shoutout to counselor Jenny Page and social worker Sarah Hubbard for spearheading this pilot program!
