Dual Credit

High school students may apply to take college or technical college courses for both high school and college credit under the State of Wisconsin’s Early College Credit Program (ECCP) and Start College Now (SCN) program. 

  • Available course are listed on the post-secondary schools approved course list.  Approved courses are not comparable to any KUSD high school course already offered in the district.
  • High school students are limited to a maximum of 18 post-secondary credits.
  • Students may not have concurrent enrollment in the Start College Now Program and Early College Credit Program.
  • Kenosha Unified School District does not provide transportation to the colleges.

Description The state of Wisconsin’s Early College Credit Program (ECCP) is a state sponsored program which allows students in high school grades to take post secondary courses which opens the door to greater learning opportunities for students wishing to begin college early.  Students are able to earn both high school and college credit. The Start College Now Program is a post-secondary participation program sponsored by the Wisconsin Technical Colleges.  This program is available to high school students in grades eleven (11) and twelve (12) who meet the program requirements and may be able to earn both high school and technical college credit.

Fees KUSD pays 100% for tuition and textbooks.
