Meal Prepayment System

Mosaic is a computerized meal tracking system that allows parents to make prepayments into their student’s meal account. This system eliminates the problems associated with students carrying money for lunch everyday. Parents may make prepayments into their student’s accounts by the week, month or year.

Money may be added to your student’s account by filling out a prepayment envelope and returning it to the school or the Food Service department in the ESC building.  In person credit card payments can also be made at the ESC.

Money may also be added to your student’s meal account by using MySchoolBucks.com.

Negative Balances

Non-CEP Elementary students may charge the cost of school meals or ala carte milk up to a total negative balance of $19.25, equivalent to about seven lunches.

CEP Elementary School students are allowed to accrue a negative balance of (-)$5.00. Once the negative limit is met, students will no longer be allowed to purchase a milk only. They will still be able to eat breakfast and lunch. A negative balance letter will be emailed or sent home weekly requesting that you send money to pay for your student’s balance. Please note that this negative balance could have been accrued in a prior school year.

Students who are not permitted to charge meals will be offered a courtesy snack at a price consistent with USDA required non-program foods pricing requirements. The courtesy meal normally consists of the following for breakfast and lunch: graham crackers, applesauce and milk. Once the negative limit is met, students will no longer be allowed to purchase a meal or milk only

Middle and high school students are not allowed to accrue a negative balance in their account. Students must have money in their meal account to purchase these extras. Cash registers will continue to be cashless.
