Working Together to Support Student Success

At Kenosha Unified School District, we believe strong partnerships between families, students and staff are essential to student success. Open, respectful and collaborative communication helps us better understand individual needs, address questions and concerns, and identify solutions that support every student.

When communicating with one another, we encourage all members of a student’s learning team to:

  • Keep students at the center: Focus on what is best for the student and their success.
  • Assume positive intent: Approach conversations with the understanding that everyone shares a common goal.
  • Listen and learn: Be open to different perspectives and take time to understand one another.
  • Communicate openly: Share questions, information and concerns in a respectful and constructive way.
  • Work toward solutions: Focus on opportunities, next steps and actions that move us forward.
  • Build positive partnerships: Treat one another with kindness, professionalism and respect.

By working together and maintaining open lines of communication, we can build strong relationships, create positive experiences and ensure every student has the support they need to succeed.
