Policy 3514 – Use of Privately Owned Vehicles to Transport Students
Generally, students should be transported by commercial carrier. However, in some instances, this may not be practical. When a commercial carrier is not available or practical, students may be transported by District employees in private vehicles, upon written approval of the building principal or other supervisor, and in compliance with the terms of this policy and state law. Such approval shall not be granted unless the employee has been determined eligible by Financial Services and the Executive Director of Business Services.
