Tremper High School’s Travel Club students and families traveled to Thailand for a 14 day tour from June 17-30, 2026. Students spent time learning about the culture of Thailand by immersing themselves in language, food and history of the country. Some of the learning activities include; visited WWII POW sites, took Thai cooking classes, planted rice in fields, learned about elephant preservation at an elephant sanctuary and participated in a cultural exchange in a rural school and learned about the Buddhist Philosophy from a class taught by a Monk. It was the first time visiting Southeast Asia for everyone on tour.
