Thank you to the Kenosha Fire Department for partnering with KUSD’s Office of Communications to bring Operation: Fire and Rescue from idea to implementation!
Students in grades 5–8 and their parents raved about this hands-on exploration event, which offered an up-close look at the skills, teamwork, technology and lifesaving techniques used in fire service.
From advancing fire hoses and searching smoke-filled buildings to vehicle extrication, emergency medical response, drone technology and water rescue, families experienced the many ways firefighters protect and serve our community.
We’re grateful to the Kenosha Fire Department for sharing their expertise, creating learning opportunities and helping inspire the next generation of community heroes!
