Our Purpose
As we begin the 26-27 school year, we’re excited to launch the Math Talk Family Newsletter, a new resource to help build family engagement and strengthen the home-school connection around math. Starting this week, each grade level’s newsletter will be posted on our school website in both English and Spanish, covering that month’s math focus, a book pairing, a vocabulary corner, “Try This at Home” activities, a featured Standard for Mathematical Practice, and math talk prompts you can use at home.
We hope this makes it easier to understand what your child is learning and gives you simple, low-pressure ways to talk about math together. Each month grade level Math Talk Family Newsletters will be posted on school websites (available in both English and Spanish). If you have any questions about the content, please reach out directly to your student’s teacher.
