Too many messages? See below for recommendations and steps for updating ParentSquare notification settings to control how and when you receive updates from schools, teachers and KUSD.
🚨 Urgent Alerts
- You cannot turn these alerts off
- Used for critical, time-sensitive information
- Can be sent regardless of other notification settings
🔔 School Alerts & Smart Alerts
- Keep school and district alerts toggled ON
- Used for time-sensitive information, such as snow days and other important updates
- Alerts can be delivered by text, email, phone call, or all three
📬 Regular Posts and Direct Messages
- Posts contain non-urgent information such as upcoming events and reminders
- Direct messages are two-way communication between parents and individual staff members
- Choose either Instant (immediate) or Digest (once-daily, easy-to-read notification)
⭐ Recommended Settings
To receive one daily easy-to-read notification, use the Digest setting.
- Instant: Receive notifications in real time
- Digest: Receive one daily notification containing all updates.
- Off: You will not receive notifications/updates
If you previously replied STOP to text messages, you can opt back in by:
- Replying START to a ParentSquare text message you previously received, or
- Texting START to 66458

- Select Manage Account
- Select Notification Settings
