Middle Schoolers Cook Up Real‑World Skills

Middle schoolers stepped into the kitchen with Kenosha Bradford High School’s Family and Consumer Science teachers for our family engagement program, KUSD Cooks! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Students gained essential kitchen skills as they prepared homemade chicken tortilla soup and cornbread from scratch. From measuring and mixing to seasoning and baking, they gained hands-on experience that builds confidence far beyond the classroom.

At KUSD, we’re proud to create opportunities that bring families together and equip students with real-world skills they’ll use for years to come.
