The following items are required to be a substitute teacher:

  1. Completed application on WECAN.
  2. Please present 3 letters of recommendation, resume and transcripts(s) during your interview
  3. Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree
  4. Substitute teacher license must be applied for upon hire if not already certified.

Limited $127.64/day $18.23/hour
Unlimited $148.86/day $21.26/hour
Long Term $192.97/day $27.57/hour

The following items are required to be a substitute special education support professional:

  1. An associate degree or
  2. 48 college credits or
  3. Proof of passing the computer-based testing (CBT) at Gateway Technical College, learn more
