Robin Cullen is a lifelong educator with 35 years of experience in education, counseling, and special education. A licensed professional counselor in both Illinois and Wisconsin, she has expertise in supporting both students and families.
Throughout her career, Robin has served as a school counselor, hearing itinerant teacher, parent-infant educator, and classroom teacher. She has experience working with children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, as well as those with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Her work includes developing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating on behavior intervention strategies, and helping families access resources and better understand their children’s development.
Robin has also provided parent counseling on topics such as grief and acceptance, discipline, and navigating social services. She values collaboration and works closely with educators, therapists, and families to support student success.
In addition to her work in schools, Robin is the owner of Cullen’s Counseling and Coaching, LLC, where she provides therapy to adults. She holds a bachelor’s degree in deaf education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, a master’s degree in counseling from Northern Illinois University and a post-graduate certification in school leadership from Concordia University Chicago.
Robin is the proud parent of two grown children and partner to her husband Peter. She enjoys live music, traveling, and connecting with others through conversation.
As a school board member, Robin is committed to strong schools, meaningful family and community partnerships, and ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.
