KUSD’s Building Trade Careers Summer Camp allowed students to experience hands-on learning alongside industry professionals from Riley Construction, Inc., Lee Mechanical, Inc., and Pieper Electric, Inc.
Over four days, students explored a wide range of careers, including project management, carpentry, concrete, masonry, electrical, automation, plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal. They didn’t just learn about these careers, they put their skills to work!
The camp ended with a tour of a local construction site where students were able to see many of the activities they practiced happening in a real-world setting.
