Ms. Vidas’s special education classes at Indian Trail High School and Academy warmly welcomed the EdRising group, led by Ms. Simmons, for visits in December and February!
In December, students enjoyed Holiday Bingo and festive coloring crafts. In February, they celebrated with handmade Valentine’s Day cards and heart-themed creations.
These engaging, hands-on activities were a highlight for everyone. While students in Ms. Vidas’s class enjoyed the creativity and connection, EdRising members gained valuable, real-world insight into the role of a special education teacher.
Experiences like these strengthen leadership skills, foster empathy, and help build a more inclusive and supportive school community.
