Black History Month door decorating contest

Ardis Mosley looks at a door decorated in honor of Mary Lou Mahone.

Lincoln Middle School students participated in a Black History Month door decorating contest. Each advisory class chose an African American who has had a positive impact on our past and present. Students will be taking a historical walk through the school this week to learn about all featured. This contest was initiated by the school's African American Female Initiative led by AAFI adviser Tameka Tate. One of the local individuals honored in the contest was Mary Lou Mahone, mother of Lincoln Parent/Teacher Liaison Ardis Mosley.
