Mr. Steve Knecht – Head Principal

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Tremper High School.  Tremper is a school with a rich tradition of excellence and I am proud to be this school’s principal.  It is my personal mission to provide a safe, welcoming, and challenging academic environment for all students to learn and succeed in.  Additionally, my expectations are that all students have access to a high quality education provided by a fair and caring staff.

Tremper High School is a diverse group of approximately 1650 learners who reflect our wonderful community.  Student learning is our number one goal, and I believe that students have the most success when they get involved and take ownership in their school.  We encourage all students at Tremper to participate in any number of our many co-curricular and extra-curricular offerings!  Athletics, student government, theatre, clubs, music…I am confident that we can find something that every one of our students will enjoy.

It is my goal to make Tremper High School a school that is recognized for being a top performing urban school in the state of Wisconsin. This coincides with the District’s vision of being Wisconsin’s top performing urban school district that is highly regarded for continuously exceeding all expectations.

I look forward to the school year and building new relationships with the Tremper community.  If all staff, students, families and community members work together, we will see Tremper High School rise to higher level of achievement and learning for our students.
