Students enroll in one session and will earn 0.5 credits towards the Physical Education graduation requirement. Spots will be offered through a lottery and NOT on a first come first serve basis. The summer PE registration form will close on Monday, March 24 at 8:00 AM. Once the form closes the lottery will be conducted and you will be notified of your enrollment status once the lottery has been completed.. Attendance is critical to earn credit in this program if you are going to be absent for more than two days please do not register as you will not be eligible for credit, if you miss more than two days you will be dropped from the program.
Summer Credit Recovery (Current 9th graders – 12th graders, offered both session 1 and session 2 students can enroll in both if needed)
Students who enroll in the summer school credit recovery program can enroll in one or both sessions depending on the number of credits that need to be recovered. Students in this program will work through Edugenuity with support from content teachers. There is not a set number of credits that can be recovered; it is all dependent on student progress. Once a student has earned all the necessary credit they will be dismissed from the program even if the session has not yet ended. School Counselors will be reaching out directly to students who would benefit from this program, but if you reply to this email we can also provide you with specific guidance.
Summer Jump Start to High School (Incoming 9th graders)
The jump start program is designed to provide skills and develop connections within our building to help students exhibit traits that will set them up to be successful during their freshman year. Each day will be broken up into three rotating sessions that will each last an hour and fifteen minutes. The sessions consist of the following:
- Math Foundations
- English Foundations
- Junior Achievement
In addition to these sessions, students will have weekly activities that will provide some exposure to local colleges and students will also have an opportunity to start to earn service hours which is a KUSD requirement for graduation.
