Career Cruising is a Career and College search website supported by the district and a part of Academic Career Planning for all of our KUSD students.  It provides valuable information in helping students identifies their interests, learning styles, different careers, and colleges that match the student.  Students are assigned different activities by grade level based on their grade level.  Please click on the following link to view the instructions on how students can access their personal Career Cruising account and the assigned activities your child should be completing each year.   Career Cruising Instructions for students in grades 6-12:

  • 23.5 Credits
  • 10 hours of Community Service
  • Pass the Civics Exam


Community Service Hours  

Community Service Hours Form  All KUSD students are required to complete 10 hours of documented community service in order to earn their diploma.

What’s next?  There are many directions students’ choose to take after they graduate, but the planning needs to begin now, if it hasn’t already. Students have many options, such as attending a 4 year colleges/university, attending a 2 year college, going into the military, or starting in the work force right away.

What is your next step?  Career Cruising is available to all KUSD students to help you explore interests, colleges, scholarships, and help you prepare for the ACT.

There are great resources available to help you through the process of applying to your colleges. I have provided a couple of pages in your packet of great websites you can go to for help and assistance as questions arise.  Keep in mind that every college/university is different, so communication with prospective colleges is critical.

End of Senior Year Reminders… Don’t Procrastinate

  • Graduation Cap & Gown ordering & Ceremony details come out in the Spring
  • Last Finals Week for Seniors – May 20th – May 24th
  • Deadline to submit Community Service Hours to Kim Gorman/Counselor – May 24th
  • Deadline to pass the Civics Exam – May 24th

Graduation Ceremony – Monday, June 3th at Indian Trail H.S. , 6:00 P.M.

Laude Graduation Program

All full time eSchool seniors (non-ITED) may participate in the eSchool laude program for academic achievement recognition at graduation. The laude requirements are based on the weighted GPA and a number of volunteer/ community service hours. The service hours will need to be submitted using the laude service log. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.

The Kenosha eSchool offers courses that cover multiple subject areas to fulfill high school graduation requirements. You may find credit information and course descriptions for these and other district courses by viewing the KUSD Course Catalog or the Wisconsin eSchool Network Course Catalog.

If you are active in sports at your boundary school, please reference the NCAA guidelines and requirements as you choose your courses.  NCAA Requirements
