AASI’s movie night on Friday, February 27th at 6:00 pm.  Bring blankets, chairs and pillows!  Permission slips are available in the office.  Please turn it in with $1.00 for admission by Thursday, February 26th.  Sodas will be sold for $2.00 a can and popcorn will be handed out for free!  Hope to see you there! 

 

After school tutoring will be available this Friday in the Commons. Please see Ms. Coshun if you’re interested in attending. 

 

Seniors – Have you completed your community service hours yet? A minimum of 10 community service hours is required for graduation! If you have completed your hours (or even a few of them), be sure to fill out the blue community service form located in the main office.  Completed forms can be returned to the main office or given to Mrs. Spangler.  

 

Junior students – ACT Preregistration will take place on Tuesday, February 24 during period 2.  BRING A FULLY CHARGED COMPUTER! Report to your class for attendance, then wait to be called to the commons.  If you have a release period 2, please make arrangements to attend.  Important information will be shared. 

 

Junior students – You will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, March 10.  Be sure to arrive at school no later than 7:15 AM.  Bring a fully charged computer and your charger.  Dismissal is at 12:40 PM.  There is no school for freshmen, sophomores, and seniors on March 10.  https://www.kusd.edu/departments/educational-accountability/assessments/act-writing/    

 

AP Students – Do you want to take the College Board AP exam but didn’t register and pay?  Late registration is now open through February 27, 2026!  With the $40 late fee, each exam costs $139. Contact your AP teacher or Mr. Preuss with any questions.  Please note: Exams that were not paid for through Total Registration were not ordered

SPORTS

 

The Kenosha Shoremen Boys Lacrosse program will be holding its preseason meeting on Monday, February 17th at 7:00 PM at Central High School.

This meeting is for all parents and players and will cover important information about our WIAA boys lacrosse program, including the upcoming season outline, registration details, fundraising opportunities, and spiritwear/player gear.

New players are welcome and encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to learn more about boys high school lacrosse and what it means to be part of the Shoremen program.

CLUBS         

 

Want to taste some hispanic culture.  SHPE is selling authentic conchas and hot chocolate.  Available for pre-sale February 18th to 26th.  Orders will be handed out on the 27th.  

 

Environmental Club is hosting a competitive clothing drive from February 16th to February 27th.  There will be four boxes in the commons with grades labelled on them.  Whichever grade donates the most clothes by the end of the drive will win an ice cream bar for everyone in that grade!  Good luck! 

 

Happy Kindness week!  Remember, a warm smile is the universal language of kindness!  Make sure to complete your bingo card. 

 

HOSA sent out a blood donation interest form for grades 10 through 12. The last day to fill out the form is February 22nd. Those who donate will receive free cookies! Save a life and savor a sweet treat!
