Bradford Planetarium Project

Who:

Middle School Students

What:

1. Become Student experts about Planets, Our Solar System, and The Moon
2. Do presentations about Planets, Our Solar System, and The Moon for 5th graders Winter-Spring 2016
3. Help clean-up the Planetarium
4. Take a couple of field trips to other Planetariums

When:

Wed. November 11, 2015; Wed. November 18, 2015; Dec. 9, 2015 (and other Wednesdays in Jan.-Apr.)

Where:

Bradford High School Planetarium

Why:

The Planetarium has fallen in disrepair and has not been up and running for several years.  A group of teachers and the Science Department of KUSD are working together to restore the facility to use it for educational purposes once again. Students at Hillcrest have a long tradition of giving back to the community through project service learning.
