Career highlights

I came to education as a second career and never looked back. I taught reading, writing, and English at McKinley Middle and Mahone Middle. Served as principal and assistant principal at Bullen Middle and Bradford High School. Served in School Leadership as a supervisor and supporter of secondary principals and am delighted to work with students and teachers again at Reuther. After 25 plus years, I truly believe that strong public education matters for a thriving society.

Hobbies

Spending time with my family, gardening, and learning how to build things.

What I love most about Reuther

I love Reuther because it’s a place that fosters connection, acceptance, and a true sense of belonging—especially for students who have already found that life doesn’t always come easy. The staff at Reuther offer the support and encouragement students need to believe in themselves again, understanding that the most meaningful learning often comes through challenge. Whether the obstacles are social or academic, Reuther emphasizes growth and resilience over perfection, helping students rebuild their confidence and find their inner strength. It’s a place where everyone is welcomed, supported, and empowered to reach their goals—a little place that truly feels like home for many.
