Annual Free & Reduced Meal Application

Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, KUSD will transition from a districtwide Community Eligibility Program (CEP) back to a partial CEP. As a reminder, the CEP allows eligible schools to serve healthy breakfast and lunch meals to students at no charge each day. During the 2022-23 school year, KUSD expanded CEP districtwide. Due to current financial strains on Fund 50, KUSD will return to a partial CEP beginning in 2026-27. Mahone is returning to a traditional model of Free/Reduced/Paid, and families need to complete an application to qualify.
The Annual Free and Reduced Meal Application is now live! Families are encouraged to apply to potentially receive meals at the free/reduced rate. In addition, completing the form helps families and schools qualify for additional benefits, including:
  • Title I funding support, which helps schools provide additional academic services, instructional support, and resources for students
  • Athletics fee waivers
  •  Fine arts fee waivers
  •  Advanced Placement (AP) testing fee waivers
