Clubs & Activities

Below are a list of clubs with dates, times, and locations. To sign up for a club, click the link here or at the bottom of this page and fill out the google form. Club advisors will explain how to pay the fee if the club has one.


Drama Club

Discover who you are with THEATRE! Build self-confidence! Take risks! Gain respect and sense of community! The Drama Club will meet Wednesdays from 4:05 – 5:05 pm in the auditorium.

Strength Training Club

A club designed to prepare the body for weight-bearing exercise using light loading and making the primary focus technique. Other aspects of fitness to be focused on: endurance, coordination, balance, power, speed, agility, and also working as part of a team. This club will meet in the upper gym from 4-5 pm on Thursdays.

Calling all Mahone Artists 

Sign up for Art Club for Quarter 2.  We will be working on individual art, creating Spirit Mustangs to decorate our hallways and designing our own Art Club T-Shirts.  All grade levels are invited to sign up. You must have a ride available to pick you up at 5 PM.

Meets every Thursday after school until 5 PM

Student Council

Do you find yourself a leader in the classroom? Well, if you do, the school-wide Student Council might be perfect for you. Our main mission is the Circle of Courage – where there will be opportunities to plan spirit weeks, socials, generosity projects, and more! Please fill out the application on the Mahone website by October 12. We will meet on Friday mornings twice a month. Any questions, please see Ms. Hummel in room 1300 or Ms. Finnigan in Roman House.

Yearbook Club

Yearbook staff are journalists and artists working together to create a photojournalistic book that will be on shelves for many, many years to come. What you do in yearbook club directly affects every person at Mahone Middle School. It is an honor and a big responsibility to be part of the yearbook staff!  Therefore, we would like all staff to complete an application to join the Yearbook team.

Gamers Club

Do you enjoy playing games like chess, board games, D and D, Pokemon, or Magic? Join Gamers Club! We will be meeting on Mondays from 4:00-5:00 pm in Mr. Kutz’ room in 7th grade Egyptian House starting on September 25th. We have games on hand or you can bring your own.

Eco Club

Are you passionate about the environment?  Do you want to be part of the change and help educate the Mahone and Kenosha community about different environment topics like climate change, recycling, and more?!  Then Eco club is for you.  Eco club is a yearlong club where we do various activities involving the environment; everything from cleaning up around Mahone, to making news broadcasts educating the public on different acts they can do to be more environmentally friendly!  We meet every Monday after school from 4pm-5pm in Mrs.Mikolajczyk’s room in the 7th grade wing.  Come out and help be the change!

Battle of the Books

Do you like reading?  Are you good at competing and memorizing?  Then Battle of the Books is the club for you!  We will be meeting every other Tuesday from 4-5pm; during our meeting time you will have time to get comfy with a book, time to have discussions about the book with other club members, and begin practicing to compete in the state wide The Battle of the Books!  Students who do not wish to compete in the battle, but still want to have a fun place to read after school, are WELCOMED and encouraged to still join.  Please see Ms. White for any further questions! BOTB will meet Tuesdays after school from 4:00-5:00 pm in Ms. White’s room in 6th grade River House.

STEM Explorers

STEM Explorers will dive into topics including building robots (including underwater robots that we take to competitions), assembling telescopes to check out the sky, and soldering circuits, along with a variety of other STEM topics that may include forensics, coding, and more!
