Mahone Student Council

Mission Statement:

Mahone Student Council will strive to enrich the experience of students, staff, and community by promoting school spirit, voicing student’s opinions, organizing student activities, and providing leadership opportunities outside the classroom. All of these activities will follow Mahone’s Circle of Courage: Independence, Generosity, Belonging, and Mastery.

What is the Student Council?

The purpose of the student council is to utilize the Circle of Courage. Council members will demonstrate leadership qualities by serving as good examples of behavior through their words and actions. All Council members will be expected to participate in approved activities, which will serve to enhance the quality of both the academic and behavioral environment of the school.

Student Council Responsibilities

*Represent all student of Mahone Middle School

*Participate in ALL Student Council decisions (This is to insure ALL voices are heard)

*Attend Student Council meetings and participate in activites

*Must maintain a 3.0 GPA

*Must not receive any referrals or suspensions during school.

*Encourage school spirit

MEETINGS WILL BE EVERY OTHER FRIDAY MORNING 7:30-8:10
