Aviary

The children of Nash Elementary School are very fortunate to benefit from all of the learning associated with having a live bird aviary.  Through the generosity of the Dennis and Natalie Troha Family, our Nash School library was able to acquire a large ten foot by four foot aviary.  Children observe how the birds create habitat and interact with each other.  They witness the manner in which birds tend to their eggs and take care of young hatchlings.   Our children develop an appreciation for ornithology and establish a clear understanding of how birds enhance and are essential to our healthy environment. Here are a couple of images of the current birds.
