Back to School Information 23-24
Lance MS – Back-to-School Information (24-25 information coming soon)
We are getting closer to the start of school. We want to send you some additional back-to-school information.
- School starts on September 5, at 8:35am. When students arrive at school they must line up at their grade-level door. When students are on campus in the morning they cannot leave campus. We assume that you drop them off at school and that’s where you expect them to be. Students who want to go to Kwik Trip should be dropped off at Kwik Trip before they are dropped off at school.
- Open House is on Wednesday, August 30th from 5:00-6:00pm. Stop in to meet your child’s teachers.
- Picture Day – Tuesday, September 5th (first day of school).
- Order pictures on mylifetouch.com.
- Student schedules are posted in Infinite Campus (**subject to change to balance class and House sizes)
- Is your child registered for school, and school fees paid?
- 23-24 Student Handbook – please review with your student.
- Dress Code – Please review (Spanish version) as it has changed from last year.
- Bike riders must ride bikes on sidewalks. Do not ride through the parking lot or by the building as this is a major safety concern. Please lock your bike at the bike rack.
- Student Insurance (Spanish version)
- Lunch – All students will have free school lunch this year, or they bring their own cold lunch. We do not allow any food delivery to school (DoorDash, GrubHub, etc.). Students will need money in their lunch account if they purchase any “extra” items.
- Yellow Bus Questions
- City Bus Questions
- Lockers and Locks – Students will get a locker assigned to them on the first day of school. 6th grade students will also be issued a Lance lock. 7th and 8th grade students should bring back the lock they received last year. All locks on lockers must be a Lance lock, or it will be removed. Students do not need to use their locker if they choose.
- Backpacks – All students should have a backpack to safely carry their Chromebook and class supplies with them.

Family Life Objectives (Spanish version) The kindergarten through twelfth grade Family Life Objectives were approved by the Kenosha Unified School District Board of Education. An outline of the grade level human growth and development curriculum is on the link above.
Copies of the complete curriculum and instructional materials are available for your review at the Office of Health and Physical Education located in the Educational Support Center at 3600
