Under 13 years old and Digital Accounts

Your student under the age of 13 may be asked to create user accounts on digital applications for educational purposes as they relate to classroom instruction.  The account creation will be under the direction or supervision of the classroom teacher.  Student information required to create such an account is typically limited to school email address, user name, or birthdate for age verification.  No other personal information will be shared with these digital applications.  Use of these educational accounts is in accordance with the Kenosha Unified School District Acceptable Use Policy, School Board Policy 6633,  the federal Children’s Internet Protection Act, and applicable state and local privacy laws.

If you do not want your child to create user accounts for digital applications, you should opt-out by notifying your child’s school in writing before September 18, 2020.
