KENOSHA, Wis. (Monday, Aug. 31, 2026) – The Kenosha Unified School District is looking for community members, students, and staff to serve on its Audit/Budget/Finance, Curriculum/Program, Personnel/Policy and Planning/Facilities committees.
Applicants must live in Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie or Somers and have experience or knowledge related to the committee they wish to join. Selected members will share their expertise and ideas to help support KUSD and its students.
To apply, individuals must complete the Standing Committee Interest Form by Sunday, Sept. 20.
Each committee will include:
- Six community members
- Two KUSD staff members
- Two KUSD students
- Board of Education representation
Selected members will serve a one-year term and are expected to attend at least 80% of scheduled meetings. Applicants will be notified if they are selected by Friday, Oct. 2.
Committees will meet as needed on the following dates:
- Oct. 15, 2026
- Dec. 3, 2026
- Feb. 11, 2027
- April 15, 2027
- June 10, 2027
- Aug. 12, 2027
