Maribeth Patrizzi, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Hello!  My name is Maribeth Patrizzi, and I am one of the speech therapists at Grewenow Elementary. Our other Grewenow speech therapist, Becky Olson and I work with children who have been identified with speech and language needs per the state of Wisconsin criteria.  Our focus is to assist children with their speech and language development.  This may include therapy for articulation, fluency, expressive language, receptive language, and/or assistive technology for communication.

I worked in many areas of speech therapy. I began my work with patients suffering from traumatic brain injury. I then worked in hospitals with patients who were recovering from strokes or other neurological disorders. In addition, I served geriatric patients in skilled nursing facilities. Lastly before joining Kenosha Unified, I was employed as a speech and language clinical consultant and reimbursement consultant for an outpatient therapy provided. I have always enjoyed deep-found excitement in helping my patients and students build their communication skills.

I am born and raised in Kenosha. This year marks my 25th year of marriage to my husband Larry. We have two daughters; one who is in graduate school pursuing a degree in nursing and one who is a high-school senior in KUSD.

I find great enjoyment in spending time with my husband and children. We love to travel, play board games, attend school and sport functions, and simply spend time together.  We are fortunate to have our families in Kenosha which allows us to spend much time with our parents, grandparents, siblings, and cousins.

This is my fourteenth year serving pre-kindergarten and elementary school students in Kenosha Unified.  Being a part of the Grewenow family for the past six years, I am excited to be a part of your child’s developing speech and language skills.
