Principal

Hello, Grewenow families!

I am very excited to be serving as principal of Grewenow Elementary. It is a wonderful school with an incredible and supportive community. I am honored to be a part of it. The staff and I look forward to the future and are committed to educate our students to be independent, life-long learners and to show the Dragon Way by being responsible, respectful, safe, and most importantly, kind.

As an educator, I staunchly believe all children can learn to a high level and we must do our utmost to help them realize their full potential. I believe in building strong relationships with our students, their families, and the surrounding community. I also believe that a good teacher can make all the difference in a child’s life, and Grewenow is very fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented staff. I am lucky to be their principal and am elated to lead them in educating your children.

I have been in education since 2008, working first as an ELL teacher in Changzhou, China. I have been with KUSD for 12 years, one of which was as an English teacher at Lincoln Middle School and 11 of which were at LakeView Technology Academy where I served as the dean of students as well as interim principal.

A little about me, I have been married to my wonderful wife, Sarah, for 16 years. I have four girls: Elliot (14), Emerson (10), Elora (8), and Emina (2). As you can imagine, they keep me plenty busy. I’m an avid cook and greatly enjoy making dinner with my family. I’m quite a nerdy guy. I have a sizable collection of video games and board games. I’ll gladly debate the new Star Wars movies with you.

At Grewenow, we are Great, we are Growing
