Hello parents, families, and students! I am entering my third year as a Special Education Teacher here at Grewenow Elementary School. My name is Candice Mattie, and I am incredibly passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment for all my students.

Having completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, I am well-equipped to design individualized education plans that cater to every child’s strengths and challenges. My goal is to empower each student to embrace their abilities, develop a love for learning, and build the confidence to overcome any obstacles they may encounter. I am eager to collaborate with parents, guardians, and fellow educators to foster a strong support system for our students. Together, we will work hand-in-hand to ensure that every child reaches their full potential and flourishes academically and socially.

Outside of the classroom, you will find me outdoors. I enjoy spending time riding ATV’s, going downhill skiing, and going for walks in my neighborhood. Aside from these activities, I am also pursuing my Master’s in Educational Leadership through Concordia University. Upon completion of this program, I will obtain my K-12 Principal and Director of Instruction licensures.

Let’s make this year a memorable one filled with growth, learning, and endless possibilities. Whether you want to discuss your child’s progress, or simply wish to share any thoughts or concerns, I am here to listen and support you. Please feel free to contact me via email.
