Michael Smith
Greetings!
My name is Michael Smith and I am part of the 3rd grade team here at Grewenow! I truly feel that 3rd grade in the most pivotal year of the elementary school experience. Students become much more independent and self-realization unfolds at an exciting pace!
I came into teaching a bit later than most. I am a journeyman electrician by trade, but made the choice to pursue teaching in 2013 after many years of working construction. It was one of the best choices I’ve ever made, and I’ve never looked back. This will be my 7th year at Grewenow and my 5th year teaching 3rd grade. I am looking forward to many more years here at Grewenow with our amazing staff and students!
So a little bit about me!
-I have been married to my amazing wife Christine for 23 years. We have two boys, Dylan (19) and Ian (16). As a family we enjoy music/concerts, movies, baseball, and just hanging out with family and friends.
-I am a huge baseball fan, and have coached for the last 13 years. I am currently coaching High School level 16-18.
-I am a massive music fan, and BIG heavy metal nerd! I have a vast collection of vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and 8-tracks.
-Did I mention I love grilling?
