LakeView K-8 Academy’s Drone Club recently competed at the Wisconsin Aerial Drone Competition held at Carthage College — and they delivered an outstanding performance!
Three LakeView teams competed in the teamwork, skills, autonomous and communication missions, showcasing impressive preparation, collaboration and technical expertise.
Their hard work paid off in a big way:
- Highest teamwork single match score of the entire competition
- Team 53143C advanced to the semifinals in the Teamwork Mission and finished 5th overall
- Team 53143A earned 4th-place in the Skills Mission
These achievements reflect our students’ dedication, problem-solving skills, and commitment to mastering drone piloting and programming. Additionally, several team members are preparing to represent LakeView again at a competition in Illinois on March 7.
We are incredibly proud of all three teams for their teamwork and the positive way they represented KUSD!
