Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA)–MENTORING PROGRAM

One of many things that we are proud about regarding our work with the community is our phenomenal mentoring program.  With KABA’s support, we have been able to tap into several businesses throughout the city and other high character adults to help provide a little extra guidance to many of our children.  Prior to any mentoring, the child’s parents must give permission and all adults must complete a successful background check as required by school board policy and KABA.  Once successful, our Head Secretary will match a child with a mentor.  Factors that are considered are gender, personality, availability, and interests.   Once the potential mentor/mentee fit is identified, the mentor will come to school during the student’s lunch and spend one lunch per week playing games, talking, or doing any other onsite activity that is pre-approved.

If you are interested in mentoring a Brass Community School child, please contact our main office at 262-359-8000 and ask for Mrs. Dagen  You may also stop by our main office during regular school hours to introduce yourself.  There is no cost to sign up and the only expenses involved are those you choose to take on.  For just 30 minutes per week  you can change a child’s life forever!  Contact us TODAY!
