About Us

Edward Bain School of Language and Art Elementary School is an urban neighborhood/choice school in the Kenosha Unified School District. Approximately 347 students attend EBSOLA-Dual Language’s K – Grade 5 classrooms. Students enrolled in the  EBSOLA Dual Language program benefit from a high quality Two-Way Immersion education.

Provide challenging learning opportunities and experiences within a rigorous Two Way Dual Immersion Language program that ensures all students learn at grade level or higher in both languages.

Dual Language

EBSOLA Dual Language offers a 90/10 Two Way Dual Immersion Program Model that supports the 3 pillars of Dual Language Instruction.The Dual Language Program offers instruction in Spanish and English each and every day. Beginning in 4K, with 90% Spanish and 10% English. Each year the percentage of English increases until 3rd grade when we reach 50% in each language and remain at 50% for the remainder of our program.

The goal of this program is for all students to become bilingual and biliterate; to enhanced awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity; and high levels of academic achievement through instruction in two languages.  All of these opportunities will foster and increase world life opportunities post high school.

The EBSOLA-DL staff is comprised of highly qualified, talented teachers. The EBSOLA-DL staff recognizes that continued learning and professional growth is necessary and desirable. The staff is consistently takes college classes and participates in professional development to extend their knowledge base.
