style=\"font-weight: 400\">At Tremper, the Student Services Office is a busy place, serving students and parents for a variety of reasons. \u00a0School Counselors serve three primary roles in working with your child.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Role of the School Counselor<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><i>Academic\/Educational:<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00a0Counselors work with students, parents and faculty to develop a plan that meets a student\u2019s academic needs and interests. \u00a0Counselors work collaboratively with other professionals to identify barriers and assist students who are experiencing academic difficulties.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><i>Career\/Vocational:<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00a0\u00a0Counselors assist students in the development of plans for post high school training and education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><i>Personal\/Social:<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00a0Counselors assist students in dealing with challenging life situations which may impact their success at school. \u00a0Counselors work closely with other student support staff in addressing these issues.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><b>Ways to meet with your Tremper counselor:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">Students can walk in to meet with their counselor during passing periods or after school.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">Students can use Hall pass to request an appointment or if needed, email their counselor and a meeting can be
