Summer School

All Summer School classes at Tremper for 2024.

Registration for Summer School 2024 will be on-line March 11th, 2024 at 8:00 AM.

SESSION 1 – Begins Tuesday, June 17^th, 2024 and runs thru Monday, July, 8th, 2024. Classes are Monday thru Friday 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM.

SESSION 2 – Begins Tuesday, July 9^th, 2024 and runs thru Monday, July 29^th, 2024. Classes are Monday thru Friday 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM.

Students new to KUSD must be registered with KUSD before they can take any Summer School courses.

JUMP START (SESSION 1 ONLY) AND CREDIT RECOVERY (BOTH SESSIONS)

Registration will start March 11^th, 2024 at 8:00 AM. Once classes are filled you will be put on a waitlist and will be called from the phone number you have entered when an opening becomes available. Only 2 absences will be allowed during Jump Start.

NEW REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR PE GYM (BOTH SESSIONS)

This year the in-person Summer PE courses will be determined by a lottery process. PE Gym class lottery registration will start Monday, March 11^th, 2024 at 8:00 AM- Monday, March 25th 2024 8 AM. Only one enrollment form may be completed per student for Summer PE. If the lottery process is full and you have not been selected, your enrollment will go on a waitlist and you will be contacted from the phone number or email address you have provided if an opening becomes available. Waitlist will be called from the order the registration was received. Only 2 absences will be allowed during the session while taking PE Gym.

Any other activity you are scheduling during the summer calendar that would take you out of gym class more than 2 days can NOT be accommodated.

After Monday, March 25th, 2024 8:00 AM, the lottery online registration for gym will be shut down to process the lottery system. After the lottery has been determined, the online registration for gym will open back up for students still wanting to sign up for gym. If all spots in the lottery are filled, you will be put on a waitlist. Families will be notified of the lottery selection by Friday, April 19th 2024.

Physical Education

Physical Education (Session 1 or Session 2)

The summer school gym classes provide the opportunity for students from grades incoming 9th -12th to earn credits in physical education. Physical education course fill up very quickly.

Students are only allowed 2 absences.

7:30-12:00 Foundations (grade 9) – Active Lifestyles and Lifetime Fitness (grades 10-12)

Jump Start

Jump Start (Session 1 only) 7:30-12:00

This Freshman course provides students with academic and career preparation. For incoming 9th grade students and students new to Tremper.

This course focuses on preparing students for high school. Students will explore high school course pathways, course expectations, career cruising, and job planning. Students will also be exposed to different high school sports, clubs and activities. This course is a great way to start high school with 1/2 credit. Students are only allowed 2 absences.

Credit Recovery

Credit Recovery (Session 1 or Session 2) 7:30-12:00

The Credit Recovery program is for 10th-12th graders who have failed credits. Students will be placed with a teacher and assigned a customized class based on data given by the prior teacher as to what learning still needs to occur. Students work at their own pace and when they complete the 1/2 credit they can take another classes or will be done with summer school. Please click below to see courses that are offered
