UW HELP Emma D. Boettiger Scholarship $8,000 03/22/24 The scholarship will award two academic scholarships to Wisconsin high school seniors who plan to enroll full time at a Universities of Wisconsin institution starting this upcoming Fall 2024 term. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.0. Applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants planning to major in a health-related field. Applicants must submit an unofficial transcript, a resume and/or list of extracurricular activities. Applicants must also submit a typed essay approximately 250 words addressing their educational and career goals and discuss a previous experience that has been significant to their personal development. 03/07/24

Demonstrate financial need in the immediate family or eligibility for free and reduced meal benefit. Have earned a 2.5 GPA on an unweighted scale. Demonstrate leadership through participation in school and community extra-curricular activities, and provide and document a minimum of 20 community service hours each year for scholarship renewal. David M. Houghton/Community Impact Programs Scholarship $2,000 03/15/24 Applicants must be academically capable, intend to work in the helping professions (social work, counseling, teaching, or the medical field), and show evidence of college acceptance. Type and complete an application listing colleges that you have been accepted to, list and discuss your intended major and career interests, list involvement in high school activities, list community service/ activities you have participated in during high school, and discuss any circumstances that may cause you to have need for scholarship assistance to attend college. Provide GPA and class rank with counselors signature on the last page of the application. A current transcript needs to be submitted with the application. 02/19/24
Wisconsin American Legion Scholarship Grade 10: $250, Grade 11: $300, Grade 12: $750 03/15/24 Students are given the opportunity to receive recognition and scholarships by taking an online test consisting of 50 multiple-choice, true and false questions followed by an essay question of 300 words or less. The program is endorsed by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction and is open to any Wisconsin student in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade. 03/07/24

Noelle Naylor Memorial Scholarship $1,000 03/15/24 Kenosha Unified School District students must provide a transcript showing a 3.0 grade point average or better, intend to enroll in an accredited college, university or community college. The applicant must have been diagnosed and treated for cancer or have had an immediate family member who has been diagnosed and treated for cancer. An essay (500 words or less) describing how cancer has affected their life and a letter of recommendation all must accompany this scholarship application. 11/03/23

Playford V. Thorson, III Family Memorial Scholarship $500 03/15/24 This scholarship is to help defray the cost of attending a KUSD summer band or orchestra program. Scholarships for Continental Band, Rambler Band and the Summer Orchestra Program will be awarded. Students in band, orchestra or choir that are accepted into the WSMA Middle Level Honors Music Project will also be eligible for a scholarship. Must be enrolled at Lincoln MS or Washington MS and have a financial need for the scholarship, as explained in the application. Students must have a recommendation from their middle school music director, one teacher at their middle school and one additional recommendation. Hagan Scholarship Foundation $7,500/semester for up to 4 semesters 03/01/24 The applicant must graduate from public, private, charter, magnet, or STEM high school with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The applicant must enroll in an eligible college or university the first semester following graduation. Applicant must maintain a 4 year or less graduation schedule and must work 240 hours prior to the start of fall semester in college. Applicants adjusted gross household income reported for 2022 Federal Income Tax purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. 01/29/24
Educators Credit Union $2,000 02/28/24 The applicant must be the primary owner of an active savings account at Educators Credit Union for a minimum of one year as of the application deadline. They must also bee enrolled in a high school in Dane, Green, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Walworth, Washington or Waukesha counties. Interested students must be eligible for graduation at the end of the 2023-2024 school year with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of the first semester of their senior year. They must also bee accepted to attend an accredited college or technical school at the time of the award. The applicant must write an essay demonstrating one or more of Educators' core values - honesty, fairness, integrity, respect and excellence. A letter of recommendation must also be submitted. 01/29/24
Marine Credit Union $1,000 02/11/24 The applicant must must be an Marine Credit Union member, or the child of an MCU member, and must plan to enroll for the next academic year as a full-time student as determined by the school, college, or university. Interested students must be well-deserving and hardworking students who are graduating from high school with the class of 2024 or present college students continuing their studies during the academic year 2024-2025. Society's Assets Scholarship Award $10,000 02/01/24 The applicant must have, have a record of, or be regarded as having a permanent and significant (as opposed to a minor) disability that affects daily living. A physician verification form must be completed and submitted by a physician or health professional. Graduating high school seniors, continuing students, or adults returning to school who already have, or plan to, enroll in an accredited college, university, or technical school on a full-time basis to seek a degree are eligible. The applicant must be a resident of the Society's Assets service area which includes Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Rock, and Jefferson counties. 01/04/24

Coolidge Scholarship Full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship 02/23/23 Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2024 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (current high school seniors are not eligible to apply). Academic excellence is the primary criterion. Secondary criteria include an interest in public policy and an appreciation of the values President Coolidge championed.
