Harman Academy\u2019s National Junior Honor Society<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Scholarship \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Service \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Leadership<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Character<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Citizenship<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The purpose of Ruth Harman Academy\u2019s NJHS chapter shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage good citizenship.\u00a0 Membership is both an honor and an obligation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To be eligible for consideration, students must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Scholarship-Grade Point Average of 3.5 or above from Quarters 1 and 2.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Character-Receive high rankings on faculty evaluation sheets and two recommendations from a Ruth Harman staff member.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Service-Complete 5 hours of community service (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Vb9kBjPmCSD-XNbzY7l67Mmm12sNPTpSrndvgNKLdIU\/edit?usp=sharing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">NJHS Service Hour Forms<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leadership-Exemplify the 7 Habits of Leader in Me<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Citizenship-No major discipline referrals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Yearly dues of $20.00<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Students selected for membership will be invited to the induction ceremony on Wednesday, May 13th.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students will receive an invitation to join\u00a0 in Quarter 3 if they have met the above requirements.\u00a0 Applications will be due April 29th, 2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Requirements for Members:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Scholarship-Maintain a GPA of 3.5<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Character-Students of good character uphold Ruth Harman Academy\u2019s Flyer Fundamentals.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Service-Complete 10 hours of community service ( <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Vb9kBjPmCSD-XNbzY7l67Mmm12sNPTpSrndvgNKLdIU\/edit?usp=sharing\"><span
